With all the Olympics talk heating up, we couldn’t resist a look back at one of the landmark projects we were proud to be part of – the delivery of CommBank Stadium in Parramatta back in 2019.
Working alongside Lendlease, our team acted as Crown Certifier on this $300 million, 30,000 seat venue, with Anthony Ljubicic as Certifier and Joshua Hawke as the Lead Senior Consultant.
Delivering a stadium of this scale meant tackling the unique challenges of large occupant loads, complex egress, and fire safety. Through performance-based solutions, including smoke exhaust modelling, dynamic evacuation simulations, and carefully negotiated strategies with Fire and Rescue NSW, we ensured compliance without compromising the stadium’s architectural vision or spectator experience.
The result? A world-class sporting venue that set a benchmark for safety, innovation, and collaboration.
With Brisbane preparing to take the global stage for the 2032 Olympics, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the projects that have already shaped Australia’s sporting story, and the role we’ve played in delivering them.
