Adem is an accomplished building surveyor and trusted consultant, with over 20 years of experience in Victoria. He is also a seasoned leader, with 15 years of management experience. He is also a director at one of Australia’s leading building certification firm Steve Watson & Partners, and the founding member of the Victorian office.
Most recently, Adem was the relevant building surveyor a number of landmark projects in Victoria including the Melbourne Metro Tunnel Development, a $14 Billion Sate Infrastructure Project, The State Basketball Centre, a $132 Million sports facility in Wantirna South, State Community Hospitals Development, a $675 Million statewide health infrastructure project in collaboration with the Victorian Health Services Authority, Meriton Suites, a $400 Million, 57 Storey Hotel Development located in Melbourne CBD, Kingston Aged Care Development, Greystar’s $500 Million Build-to-Rent Development & The $58 Million Phillip Island Penguin Parade Visitor Centre Development, Knox Shopping Centre $355 Million Expansion & The $394 Million Hopkins Correctional Centre Expansion Project.
As a private building surveyor, Adem’s main focus is statutory building approvals, however he has also acted as a consultant building surveyor on a number of significant projects including the AAMI Park Redevelopment, Ballarat Base Hospital Redevelopment, Monash Hospital Redevelopment. He also has extensive experience in building code compliance auditing, government fire safety audits, due diligence audits, and provides expert witness advice for legal proceedings.
Since joining Steve Watson & Partners in 2016, Adem has established a strong team in Victoria with over 20 staff members. He’s actively involved with all aspects of the business with a particular emphasis on mentoring junior staff and shaping the future of building surveying in Australia.
