We’re hiring an Accredited Access Consultant to join our team at Steve Watson & Partners (SWP). SWP is a leading and highly respected national Building Surveying and Consultancy firm, known for delivering efficient, professional and innovative advice to clients across the built environment. With offices across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra, and a flexible approach to location, our national multidisciplinary team of Building Regulations Consultants, Fire Safety Assessors, Registered Certifiers and Building Surveyors plays a critical role in supporting compliance throughout the design and construction process.

We work across a diverse portfolio of projects including retail, industrial, commercial, hospitality, high end residential, office and mixed use developments, providing our people with exposure to complex, high quality work and strong foundations for long term career development.

We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, Accredited Access Consultant to join our team. We are seeking an ambitious and committed individual who can represent the firm at a high professional standard and deliver efficient, practical and solution focused access consulting services as an in house specialist.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant qualifications and current accreditation with the Association of Consultants in Access Australia (ACAA)
  • Demonstrated experience as an Access Consultant within the built environment sector
  • Strong knowledge of the NCC, Australian Standards (including AS 1428 series) and accessibility legislation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident working autonomously while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Professional, solutions focused and client centric approach

  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Professional conduct and a mature approach to all situations including the ability to demonstrate discretion and confidentiality.
