This greatly anticipated project will relocate the Powerhouse Museum from its historic site at inner-Sydney Ultimo to a new, world-class museum on the bank of the Parramatta River.
It will be the largest museum in NSW and the leading science and technology museum in the Southern Hemisphere. New features will include 7 large-scale exhibition spaces, transport connections, educational, community, retail and residential facilities, as well as green space components.
The Powerhouse Parramatta project is one of the largest structural engineering and architecturally complex projects currently underway in Australia involving considerations such as connection to the river and flood mitigation.
